Why Us?

With so much to do Up North, it’s nice to have a local expert or two to help you fit it all in - We consider ourselves “Family Tradition Experts”. Since your inquiry goes directly to us (Jay and Sue Krull) you can ask us anything about Vilas County and our lakes. See you on the water! Oh, ask us about the historic Burnt Bridge where you can find hearty drinks, tasty food and wild animals (both inside and out).

Deer Path Resort is nestled in 17 wooded acres which offer ample opportunity for those outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a variety of outdoor recreation near Conover Wisconsin.

 

Philosophy

We have eleven rustically modern, completely furnished, very clean cabins and vacation homes. We are located on the sunny north shore of beautiful Upper Buckatabon Lake. We are close to the narrows between Upper and Lower Buckatabon so you have access to both lakes which are just under 1,000 acres.

The snowmobile trail comes directly through Deer Path Resort to provide access to hundreds of miles of well groomed trails right from your front door!

Best resort for family vacation tradition in the North Woods! Clean, comfy cabins, great owners, beach and lake with swimming/fishing/boating fun in the sun! Amazing star-filled night skies, the list goes on, as do the memories. Been staying here my whole life.. now 37 years and 3 owners later, I continue the tradition with my daughter 🙂

This past weekend was my third visit to this fabulous getaway. Jay and Sue Krull are wonderful hosts. The cabin was spacious, clean and up-to-date. Whatever the season, this is the place to be in the north woods..

We just spent the most beautiful winter weekend at Deer Path Resort. Fun winter activities happening in the area and our hosts were perfect. The cabin was warm and cozy with a roaring fire and gorgeous views. We highly recommend Deer Path Resort and can’t wait to stay in the Summer and Fall!!!.

The best resort in the north woods. Would never even think of going to a different place from the owners to the people you meet during the week there your friends for life it's like there all your family now . You don't meet people like that at home. Oh ya and the resort is AWESOME if you die and go to heaven it's like walking through the gates of Deer Path.


Camp fires, boating, swimming, fishing, 4-wheeling or just kicking your feet back in the North woods w family and friends! Can’t beat the action @ Deer Path Resort! Great people! Great place!

The nicest resort I have stayed at in the North Woods. Spacious, clean and comfortable cabins; everything you need. Very nice and attentive new owners. Already planning our next visit. I highly recommend this resort.
