Other town might say they are the gateway to the North, but Conover is the true “Northwoods”. A Northwoods filled with fishing “hot spots”. Fish On! 493 Upper Buckatabon Lake and 378 Lower Buckatabon Lake in in Vilas County are teaming with Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. Have a shoreluch every day! If you bring your boat to Krull’s Deer Path Resort, there is a a public boat landing on Upper Buckatabon. Your cabin comes with a boat slip so you can dock your boat at the resort.

Otter’s Lair
Otter’s Lair is a year-round lower unit with a connecting stairway to Osprey’s Roost for larger groups. A cozy chalet offering a beautiful wood burning fireplace with two bedrooms and one bathroom. A large picnic lawn area with a charcoal grill will lead you down to a short walk to Buckatabon Lake.
Otter’s Lair cabin at Krull’s Deer Path Resort in Conover, Wis., is a two-story chalet with a large yard walking distance to Upper Buckatabon Lake. This two-bedroom vacation home has a full bath and kitchen, as well as full access to a range of luxury resort-style amenities.
The Otter’s Lair is a cozy, family-friendly cabin set between the trees in the storied Wisconsin Northwoods. The cabin includes a full kitchen stocked with dishes and flatware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils, as well as modern appliances. The dining room has place settings for four.
The sitting room at Otter’s Lair is located on the first floor with wide windows that look out on the beautiful natural scenery of the resort. The space is furnished with chairs and a comfortable sofa. The walk-out front yard is furnished with outdoor amenities including a picnic table and grill.

Krull’s Deer Path Resort is ideally positioned near Upper Buckatabon Lake to take advantage of swimming, fishing and water recreation opportunities. The full upper- and lower-halves of the lake cover a combined total of 870 acres with moderately clear water that is open to water sports.
The lake is a known habitat for panfish, musky, northern pike, walleye and bass — the perfect bounty to bring back to the cabin for dinner after a day on the water in your complimentary 14-foot fishing boat, canoe, kayak or paddle boat.
Otter’s Lair offers easy access to a number of nature trails that wind through and around the resort. These are maintained year-round for hiking, biking, snowmobiling and ATVs. Northern Wisconsin is just as beautiful in the fall and winter, with bright leaves and snow-covered landscapes.

Fisherman’s Dock
Fisherman’s Dock is the perfect cabin to share your fishing stories. This year-round cabin features a large open concept. Two bedrooms with futon in living area, two baths and a fully equipped kitchen. You will find an outdoor picnic area with charcoal grill and a large lawn area that will lead you down to the lake.
Fisherman’s Dock cabin at Krull’s Deer Path Resort is a four-person vacation rental in the traditional Wisconsin Northwoods style — a simple, peaked roof, a stone fireplace and natural wood construction — on a small patch of green grass near the packed dirt camp road.
This rustic Northwoods haven is an ideal family getaway with two bedrooms and one bath near Upper Buckatabon Lake. The cabin is settled in the shade between the tall pines and offers views of the water from the windows on one side.

Fawn’s Thicket cabin at Krull’s Deer Path Resort in Conover, Wis., is a cozy, two-bedroom vacation home in a wooded setting near Upper Buckatabon Lake. This four-person getaway includes one full bath and a modern kitchen, as well as a variety of shared resort amenities.

Beaver’s House is the farthest cabin the southwest corner of the resort. You will find this seasonal cabin very quiet and relaxing with a real vintage cabin feel. A two bedroom with added futon in the living area, one bathroom with a beautiful sun room to view the lake. Easy access to the docks to start your fishing vacation. This cabin also includes a charcoal grill, outdoor stone fireplace, hammocks and picnic area.

Osprey’s Roost
Osprey’s Roost is an upper chalet year-round unit that has a connecting stairway to Otter’s Lair. You may choose to rent them together for a larger group. Ospreys Roost has a large open area with a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and one bath. Beautiful views of the lake from the outdoor patio. Equipped with large parking area and charcoal grill.
Osprey’s Roost at Krull’s Deer Path Resort is a two-bedroom vacation home with room for four on a large, private lot near Upper Buckatabon. The two-story cabin features an upper-level balcony and a lower-level, covered porch with lounge chairs, a picnic table and an outdoor grill.
This cozy Northwoods cabin has two large bedrooms with closets and dressers, ideal for unpacking and settling in for a full week. The two private rooms are furnished with a queen-sized bed each. One of the bedrooms also has two queen-sized beds.
The bedrooms are located on the upper floor of Osprey’s Roost, while the lower level is an open social space with a living room, full kitchen and dining room with four places. The living room has several comfortable chairs, a plush sofa and a brick hearth with a wood-burning stove.

Loon’s Nest is a seasonal cabin on the shores of Upper Buckatabon. You will love hearing the loons from this three- bedroom, 1 ½ bath cabin. Includes a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with outdoor charcoal grill and picnic area. You are steps away from your dock to enjoy the summer breeze.

Krull’s Deer Path Resort is fortunate to be on the peaceful shores of 493 acre Upper Buckatabon Lake, but you also have channel access to Lower Buckatabon Lake – another 378 acre water park. All cabin paths lead to the resort docks where the boats are lined up for fishing, tubing, skiing and cruising.
Nearby, the Northwoods Zip Line, Aerial Trek, Argo ATV and Kayak River Tours are popular with vacationers. Runners come from all over the midwest for the Journeys Marathon and shoppers flood in to browse during the Memorial Day Arts and Crafts Show in Eagle River.

Musky Hut
Musky Hut is a cozy seasonal cabin that will hopefully give you luck fishing for Musky’s on Buckatabon. Cabin has two bedrooms, one bath and a fully equipped kitchen. You will find an outdoor charcoal grill with your own picnic area on the shores of Upper Buckatabon.
